This is the First Painting of the Mountain Land in Maine, painted in 2009 during the first winter and summer. There is a Flying Fish playing the Fiddle in the sky (symbolizes the Fiddle Heads, delicious to eat, that grow in the area in Spring), a 5 dollar bill torn in 1/2 floating in the sky, a clock with a pendulum, two lovers embrace in the woods to lower right, and the moose to lower left as I would imagine our little Yearling Moosie will look when he grows up into a Bull Moose with white splash on forehead, long white thick eyelashes. Inspired by Chagall, who painted a painting with a flying fish, also a pun on the economy, wherein if the currency crashes, the artist will still have her mountain land, where she can go paint and grow vegetables and live in the camper, painting paintings of the mountains that her people have been loving and buying with which to buy food and art supplies during the economic tsunami.
